It is kind of strange that Jack's gravestone is basically just a slab of cement and not something elaborate but I think this is kind of appropriate, since he was such a simple guy.

glad to know somebody else is still paying jack respect, I've gone there by myself about three times this year so far. The last time I went, there was half a bottle of vodka just sitting on the gravestone &it smelled like vodka, so against my better judgement I drank most of it. I made sure jack tried it first though, that stuff can kill ya.

Allen's buried in a jewish cemetery in newark, nj; I had the occasion to visit there once; I listened to footnote to howl on my cellphone &burned a joint, all that's left now is to go to missouri to visit billy B &my beat corpse tour is complete.

wondering if you were surprised at the lackluster grave marker for jack, I mean; Ive seen that picture of bob dylan &allen sitting there to pay their respects or whatever; but you'd think that arguably one of the greatest writers of the 20th century would have a more... flashy gravestone, there's a park dedicated to him in lowell too though, &it's just stone monoliths with excerpts from his work on them, it's small but pretty sweet. anyway..keep the beat alive &all that.

Way to go Jim. Sounds great! I am your distant cousin from California. Visited with your mom & Dad (Ray & Karen) last summer and enjoyed them very much. Great People. If you ever get to Southern California look us up would be great to meet you in person. You definitely are a natural in the music industry. Keep on truckin, couz. P.S. I played drums with Uncle Phil and Uncle Freddie when we were back there in the east. Played music for 40 years. Nice to know that the family is still carrying on the music tradition.
